About the Series
In 2015 Swifts Raceway teamed up with C.A.R.S Raceway to create a new championship for GT based classes. The Autumn shootout was created and quickly picked up in popularity. By the last round over 80 competitors were entering the rounds resulting in some spectacular racing.
Through popular demand we are continuing the championship into its second year. For 2016 C.A.R.S have decided that they no longer want to be part of the championship and wish to focus on their own Shootout series. We are grateful for all their great contributions which helped make it such a success and hope to return the favour with other projects in the future. With the departure of C.A.R.S we feel it will be better to change the name of the series so that there is less confusion between this one and the Summer Shootout series. The new name will be "Traction" from now on.
The series is open to racers of all abilities and for all three GT classes (GT12, F1 and WGT10). It will be the perfect practice for setting up both car and racer for the up and coming 2016 BRCA GT Nationals. It will be a 4 round series run to the professional standard as last year along with the other national rounds we have hosted in the past. The final highlight to last year's series was the friendly atmosphere which will no doubt be present again.

Rules
Our rules generally follow the class rules set by the BRCA. As this is not an official BRCA race series, the rules will be more relaxed. However, if anyone is found to be pushing the rules to a unfair advantage then the Race Officials will inspect the car before making a decision to the racer.
General Rules
After completing a heat, every driver must leave their car at race control and head out to marshal. Marshalling posts will be clearly marked with the racers car number. Racers who fail to marshal risk losing their fastest qualifying time or even their Final result.
All racers must be ready to run during the heat before theirs.
Reckless racers who fail to allow lapping cars past or aggressively cause incidents will be forced to take a stop and go penalty or miss their following heat.
Any racers found swearing or using aggressive language towards other racers will be force to miss their following heat or be asked to leave the venue.
All racers must bring a pit towel to protect the venues tables.
Additional Health and Safety
Hi-vis vests are to be wore while marshaling a race.
Batteries must be charged on a compatible charger using the correct charging mode
Batteries are not to be charged at greater than 20A.
