Swifts Raceway was the design, hard-effort and financial input of Mr. David Underwood with help from James Wright and their love of the sport from racing around the country, competing in national level events, prompted them to want to offer the community of RC the biggest, friendliest and most professional RC venue possible. Swifts Raceway has been offering its hand at developing RC drivers and providing a fun experience to seasoned racers and newcomers for just less than three years to date.
Swifts Raceway may on the face of it seem modern and professional, with high-level experienced racers choosing to shave those last few milliseconds from their time with incremental setup changes, but the guys at Swifts Raceway aim their services and endless RC devotion to the newbie’s of the sport. New drivers and young people with interest in RC, is what Swifts was designed to encourage.
The Professional Equipment
Swifts Raceway offer 420 square meters of top quality Prima-felt GT, RC racing carpet, which provides the billiard table-like flat racing surface, while the white PVC tubing, soft-hit corner assembly’s and yellow apex markers line the carpet with the easy-to-see – hard-to-hit track system that is in a league of its own. At Swifts Raceway we believe the key to an enjoyable day is a well run schedule. By keeping to time, we ensure every race completes its full distance with enough time between for additive, car adjustments and general banter!
As mentioned earlier, Swifts Raceway has proudly supported both the 1/12 BRCA national events on two occasions, and recently the GT Nationals also headed by the BRCA, to a high standard! … Check out our GT Nationals video, courtesy of Stew Noble.
We do our upmost to cater for any class of on-road RC currently available. From 1/10 touring cars through F1, GT10 (WGT), 1/12 pan cars all the way to the more recently popular GT12 class, we have a place for all!
